Fit for Purpose? Rethinking the Effectiveness of Anti-Financial Crime Framework
26th February 2026 – 16:30 – 19:30 pm
A conversation among financial crime professionals examining to what extent today’s anti-financial crime framework delivers real impact, and how a more effective system should be reimagined.
Overview:
This session brings together young professionals and industry leaders to discuss the weaknesses of the current anti-financial crime (AFC) framework and offer fresh perspectives on its future. Drawing on their practical experience, participants will assess the real-world effectiveness of existing AML, CTF, and sanctions regimes, highlighting where the framework falls short and which policy innovations could help bridge these gaps. Bringing together voices from industry, regulators, and policymaking communities, the discussion will explore practical pathways toward a more outcomes-focused, and effective AFC ecosystem. The session will be followed by networking drinks.
For this event, YFCP is partnering with RUSI CFS FLIFF, offering participants an opportunity to connect with peers from both communities and expand professional networks.
A huge thank you to Napier AI for sponsoring post-roundtable networking drinks.
